Broward County residents denied access to courts.
On May 16, 2008 I needed information on a specific procedure in the 17th Judicial Circuit. This was solely a procedural issue, not a question of law.
I looked on the county's Clerk of the Court website. I was looking for the Pro Se Help Unit, which ordered by Dale Ross to bring Broward County into Compliance with Florida Family Court Rule 12.750
After talking to court employees for a couple hours, I discovered that no one knew what this was, or that it existed.
I located the document and saved it to disk. In sec 2 of his Ruling, Dale Ross put forth that "the Pro Se Self Help Unit shall operate under the auspices of the Administrative Offices Of the Court......." I contacted that office, and was hung up on. I called back again, and finally was allowed to leave a voicemail message. Alexandra called back. I asked her about the Unit. She stated that it was placed under the the Clerk of the Court but the Clerk of the Court apparently disbanded the court ordered program. I stated that the ruling was still in effect, and Alexandra agreed after reviewing the section of Ross' Order that I quoted.
I then called the Acting Administrator of Broward County, and left a message requesting a return call.
I then called Governor Christ's Office to report this non compliance of Broward.

Korda, who was part of the Anna Nicole Smith proceedings, was in Stanley Goldman Park near Hollywood Boulevard on Sunday at about 2 p.m. when police patrolling the park smelled marijuana, followed the scent and found him seated on a bench, police said.
Korda, 59, was not arrested but was issued a notice to appear in court and faces a charge of marijuana possession, according to police.
On November 5, 2004, a Consulate of another country hired a lawyer after a citizen of that country was shot in the head and partially parylized by a B.S.O. Deputy LEWIS PERRY.
BSO Deputy Lewis Perry had previously been accused of "excessive force" a total of NINE TIMES, but has been let back on the streets to attack more people. This makes the 10th reported incident, and an international disgrace for Broward County.
The man, who had been in the United States only 3 days and did not speak English, went to to the wrong apartment. For this act, Broward Sheriff's Deputy Lewis Perry found it necessary to shoot this unarmed man in the head.
We are confident that Broward Sheriff Ken Jenne will hire an expensive attorney at the taxpayer's expense, and this deputy will soon be out on the street for the 10th time, ready to shoot someone else.

Broward County is ranked as one of the most UNHEALTHY counties in the United States: Airborne Pollutant Cancer Risk Water Pollution (The Boy Scouts Of America are not allowed to swim in their own lake at Camp Seminole) Immune System, Cardiovascular, Reproductive, and other Health Hazards (2001). While one of the county's leading polluters is writing letters how good it is, and made $9,000,000,000.00 that year, other sources list Florida Power & Light ( FPL ) as Broward's leading industrial polluter. The EPA requires discharges of 1,000 pounds or more of Vanadium into the environment to be reported. FPL reports 0 pounds of Mercury is released at its Port Everglades generating site, but 150,000 pounds of highly toxic Vanadium compounds were reportedly released in 2002, along with 100,000 pounds of Hydrochloric Acid Aerosols, and a staggering 270,000 pounds of Sulfuric Acid Aerosols. In addition, some poles that hold the un-insulated aluminum wires that carry 15,000 volts through neighborhoods are in need of attention. see pictures

While good for tourism, each fully loaded 747 burns 2,862 gallons of fuel per hour in flight, and even more during take-off. This contributes to smog and leaves soot. NOx emissions virtually triple during take-off, while CO emissions increase approximately 7 times during approach. The Broward Sheriff's Office not only removed and withheld evidence before and during a trial, but slipped up afterwards when they attempted to return it after the trial, by accidentally logging in a second heretofore unknown group of evidence that they had taken in OVER 2 YEARS EARLIER, BUT HAD WITHHELD, AND NEVER LOGGED. This "evidence" now had "99" numbers assigned (for the year it was taken in), and doesn't match the "97" numbers of the Police Report and the rest of the evidence. Don't expect a fair trial in Broward County's 17th Judicial Circuit Court. Attorney General Janet Reno prosecuted a 16 yr old computer hacker in Miami Florida, and he was jailed. "Breaking into someone else’s property, whether it is a robbery or a computer intrusion, is a serious crime," said Attorney General Janet Reno. "This case, which marks the first time a juvenile hacker will serve time in a detention facility, shows that we take computer intrusion seriously and are working with our law enforcement partners to aggressively fight this problem." But in Broward County, CASE 97-13631 CACE (18), Judge Herbert Moriarity disregarded Rules of Evidence and Mandatory Judicial Notice, and awarded Scott K. Bagwell and co-conspirators, including 16yr old computer hacker Robert Thomas Newton, Jr., Attorneys Marc A. Chandler and Lee H. Schillinger, and Sun Sentinel Newspaper Reporter, Jody Needles, tens of thousands of dollars for their scheme to successfully hack and download stored and in- transit communications from a client to his attorney, from a business website, alpha-numerically protected from public access, and put there for his attorney to download. read more
Broward County Animal Control And Regulation gave a family a present just before Christmas last year: over $250.00 worth of citations. The father was recovering from a heart attack, and their dog had just died hours earlier (they suspect the neighbor had poisoned their pet). The utility company had turned off their electricity just before Thanksgiving. They had already called a vet to dispose of the animal, even though they were saving this money to have their electricity turned back on. Broward County Animal Control And Regulation came by, and learned that the family had no electricity, so animal control officer MORRIS, Badge #3136, wanted to have the family's two children taken into custody. This caused the man to have additional heart problems, and when the police arrived, the officer called fire rescue, and told MORRIS "Nobody's calling CPS," and that the family had a generator. While fire rescue took the man's vitals, and recommended he go to the hospital, the kind-hearted MORRIS handed the mother of the children 4 citations of $62.50 each, even though THEY WERE EXEMPT BY LAW. IN BROWARD COUNTY, YOU HAVE TO PROVE YOU'RE INNOCENT. The couple spent Christmas without electricity - they had to save up to pay the fines. THIS EXEMPLIFIES THE COMPASSIONATE SPIRIT OF BROWARD COUNTY AT ITS FINEST. The Procedure for obtaining the required yearly license for a sick or elderly animal is not promulgated, and does NOT appear in Broward County Ordinances.
On March 8, 2004, the U.S. Supreme Court reversed the admission of "Hearsay" in CRAWFORD v. WASHINGTON, and prosecutors must now produce the actual witness, not just a citation or statement.

- Removing a child from the non-offending parent because the child witnessed domestic violence is unlawful and unconstitutional.
- Denying DCF entry is NOT hindering an investigation. It is an assertion of one's 4th Amendment right, as well as you right to remain silent.

Further, if you cannot afford to pay your garbage bill, your service is terminated, BUT YOUR MONTHLY BILL CONTINUES TO ACCRUE (the Town getting 12.5%, Waste Management keeping the rest, and you getting NO SERVICE). THEN YOU ARE CITED FOR AN ORDINANCE THAT STATES YOU MUST HAVE TRASH SERVICE. You are then liable for a fine, plus the bill for service you didn't receive! read more

.While Palm Beach County Florida requires that your pet be vaccinated at the interval recommended by the manufacturer of the vaccine, Broward County DEMANDS that your pet be vaccinated EVERY YEAR. Veterinarians use a 3 year potency vaccine. Vaccine reactions have killed pets. read more
.The favorite tactic in Broward County appears to be to attack you by threatening to take your children away. Animal Control Officer L. Morris, Badge #3136, did just that. Both of one family's Dobermans had mysteriously died a few months apart, after Scott K. Bagwell threatened to "take care of those f**kin dogs." Rather than wasting money on prosecuting a possible felony, it's more profitable to give citations, even if they're exempt from vaccination. People watched out for each other before, but now the county looks for ways to make money, rather than spending it prosecuting crime. read more
